Pink and Brown Polka Dot Baby Shower Cake

This cute cake was for a baby shower, obviously for a sweet little girl. The bottom tier is a Davil's Food Chocolate cake filled with chocolate bavarian creme and frosted with chocolate buttercream icing. The top two tiers are strawberry cake with a strawberry glaze filling and frosted with vanilla buttercream icing. The fondant it's all topped with is homemade marshmallow fondant. The marshmallow fondant is not your regular tasteless, thick fondant. It tastes just like sweet marshmallows!

With the pink and brown polka dots, and Gerber daisy topping, it's a perfect cake for this baby girl shower!

Cakes are indivudally priced based on what you need for your event.

Monogrammed Cake Truffles

I was testing a new cake truffle combination this weekend that happens to be my favorite type of cake... yellow butter cake dipped in chocolate. This turned out to be a delicious combination!

I was feeling a little fancy so I went ahead and tried out some piped monogramming on top. A great look if you're interested in placing an order for a formal event! If you'd like them monogrammed, please let me know!

Triple Layer Tres Leches Cake with Strawberries

This was a cake made for someone heading to a Mexican Themed potluck dinner. They asked her to bring dessert so she turned to me! Tres Leches cake is made with three different types of milk, mixed with a touch of vanilla and the cake layers are soaked in that mixture. The extra bit of syrup was added into the frosting to give it that much more flavor. It is then topped off with sliced strawberries with a sugar glaze.

I've had many people ask me if I do cakes, and the answer is yes! Just let me know what type of cake you're looking for and I'll be glad to discuss it with you!

Stay tuned for another post next week, I'm working on a cake for a baby shower!

Cupcakes!

These are some cupcakes I made for a bake sale at my work that is benefiting the United Way. Embellished with a sugar flower, these cupcakes would be perfect for a shower or night with your gal pals! Cupcakes are priced at $15.00 per dozen, which is only $1.25 per cupcake! Most local bakeries charge anywhere from $2.50-$4.00 per cupcake, so this is a great deal for you!

Any flavor combination is possible, just e-mail me at C.Ritchotte@gmail.com and I'd be more than happy to discuss any ideas you have for flavors for your next party.
